El Gallo

An opera for actors that offers the possibility of witnessing the intensity of a creative process, before its premiere, for lately attend to that performance.  In the reality as well as in the fiction, the performers are exhibited, taken to the maximum of their vocal, physical and emotional possibilities, facing their limitations, fears and hopes, their own and those of others, encouraged to transcend these thresholds, that finally will let them access to a purer expression.

El Gallo, created in collaboration with the British composer Paul Barker is a harmonic encounter between theatre and contemporary music.  International co-production of several festivals, it was premiered at Festival de Mexico en el Centro Historico in March 2009, and had a successful season in Mexico City, before starting national and international tours.
