Language / Translation and subtitling*

The play is presented in Spanish.

Translation to the local language runs on the host.

Subtitling equipment:

-1 projector and 1 screen for downstage.

-1 projector and 1 screen for upstage.

Note: translations to English, French and Flamenco are already available.

 

Audience profile and entrance control

For adults and adolescents over 15 years old.

Entrance is forbidden once the show has started.

 

Stage*

The play is adaptable for different forums:

    1.  Italian stage theatre with black German chamber (original version).

-Chamber arranged in a half circumference of 16 meters in diameter.

-Two-fold front curtain (preferably red).

-Black cyclorama or black back.

-Orchestra pit (not indispensable).

      2.   Italian stage theatre with traditional black chamber.

-Black chamber.

-Two-fold front curtain (preferably red).

-4 sets of legs.

-Black joker of two leaves (with a central opening of 2 m)

-Back curtain.

-Black cyclorama or black back.

-Orchestra pit (not indispensable).

 

There are three versions of the show:

There are thtee versions of the show regarding horse and sand:

a) With horse and sand (original version).

Stage with sand that allows optimal performance of equestrian

routines.

Silica sand surface, wire netting 40/50, beige colour, wet and down for every

performance and rehearsal, and 10 cm deep.

Metallic perimeter-long structure: 10 cm high to contain the sand.

 

b) With horse, without sand.

A selection of equestrian routines apt for a theatre stage is performed without sand.

 

c) Without horse.

Version for spaces without availability for horse.

 

Dressage Horse*

Breed: Andalusian Portuguese or lipizana

Colour: White (preferably)

High School training.

Exercises obligatory: passage, piaffe, bow and rear.

 

Horse training*

The horse and the exercise ring must be available to train with the horseman 4 days before the set up.

Horse Equipment

The horse must be accompanied by assistance at all time to clean and tack it. Also has to have a Portuguese saddle and a double bridle for the show.

Stage Stockyard for the horse*

Stockyard of 4m x 4m approximately.

The stockyard and halls of horse's access must be with carpets to avoid noise or slips.

Carpets must be set up with tape.

Wooden floors, platforms and catwalks over the sand*
In case the play is presented with sand, the following things shall be needed:

-4 boards 90 cms x 1.20 m.

-4 platforms 90 cm x 1.20 and 10cm high.

-1 table 1.20 m x 2.44 m.

-4 boards 90 cm x 2.44 m.

Instruments*

1 double keyboard harpsichord (tuned up to 415). It is necessary for rehearsals and performances. Bench for the harpsichord.

Consider the tuning service for every day of rehearsal as well as every performance.

 

Lighting*

We are attaching an equipment list, yet, we will work on a specific lighting design after the technical visit or after having received the of the theatre planes.

-1 CD Player.

-2 microphones SHURE SM91 for the amplification of the harpsichord.

Explosive load for salvo cannon: 2 for general rehearsal and 1 for each performance.

Technical specifications of pyrotechnics:

                    Concushion explosion of 6 grams A and B pyropak material.

                    Electric matches for 12 volt batteries.

-2 smoke machines.

 

Dressing rooms*

-6 dressing rooms with chairs, mirrors, potable water and services.

 

Changing areas near the stage*

-2 racks for hanging costumes.

-4 tables to set props.

-8 chairs.

-Controlled lightning.

Security signals for actors*

-Fluorescent tape to indicate the stairs, halls or any other element that might risk actor's security during rehearsals and performances.

-Black tape to assure electric or audio wires that might be on the floor.

Catering*

Water, coffee, tea, honey, biscuits and fruit.

 

Set up time*

a) Version with horse and sand

First day: planning the montage with actors, lighting and sand set up.

Second day: sound check, lighting script, horse stage taining and technical rehearsal with actors and horse.

Third day: possible lighting corrections, general rehearsal and show.

 

b)Version with horse, without sand

First day: planning montage with actors, lighting and horse training on stage.

Second day: sound check, lighting script, horse training and technincal rehearsal with actors and horse.

Third day: possible lighting corrections, general rehearsal and show.

 

c) Version without horse

First day: planning the montage with actors, lighting, sound chek, lighting script and technical rehearsal.

Second day: possible lighting corrections, general rehearsal and show.

 

Personnel required for rehearsals and performances*

-1 local actor to play Napoleon (version without horse).

-2 local actresses.

-2 lighting technicians.

-2 sound technicians.

-4 stage machinery technicians and props.

-3 costume assistants.

-1 wig assistant.

-1 groom for caring and cleaning the horse.

-Seat attendants to throw breads.

-10 people (approx.) as extra personnel for the set up of the sand.

Important note:  all the requested personnel has to be available all the time to develop the full working plan and to be the same for rehearsals and performances.

Complementary tickets*

Complementary tickets for company guests (the amount should be discussed previously with the presenter).

Complementary tickets for the two local actresses for each performance.
