Gaston Yanes
At the age of six, Gastón Yanes enters DOREMI under Susana Wein's and Erika Kubacsek's direction, in the fields of Theatre and Music respectively. DOREMI's purpose is to educate quality artists since the early ages.
He studied acting at the Núcleo de Estudios Teatrales and afterwards, took a course with Master Raúl Quintanilla about Actors' Improvement. He did his Master's Degree on Physical and Acrobatic Theatre at the Dell'Arte School of Physical Theatre, in Blue Lake, California. He has worked with many different theatre companies, such as Austria's Carpa Theater, US's Dell'Arte Players Company, and he is also a founding member of Mexico's Certain Inhabitants' Theatre. With this company, he has participated as an actor in the plays Becket or the Honour of God and Where will I be tonight?
He has worked throughout the whole country, as well as internationally in other plays, like: La Gramática; Un Hombre es un Hombre; Servando o del Arte de la Fuga; Fausto o la curiosidad mató al gato; Un Alacrán por las que van de Arena; Burn this; La noche de Epifanía; the monologue The Loyal Sin; Korbel II: The Wedding; Gettalife!; True west; La cantante calva; Mozart y Salieri; Días de Ensayo; Luzbel el impostor and the opera Ambrosio o la fábula del mal amor, among many others.
He also worked as videographer in the plays Monsters and Prodigies and The Grey Automobile. Together with his work as an actor and musician, he is a documentary producer and director with more than 12 years of experience, and has worked on over 200 TV shows for Hispanic channels in the U.S.
He has also worked in the fields of Lightning and Production for many productions for Mexico’s Bellas Artes, as well as in the United States.
